Ontario minister disappointed state lottery agency bought foreign cars as prizes

Infrastructure Minister George Smitherman dressed down Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) officials for their decision to buy Mercedes as prizes for gambling activities.

"It's disappointing, it's disillusioning, it's wrong on all levels and it was a big mistake made,"

Smitherman wanted the Lottery Corporation to purchase Canadian made cars. The only problem is - who would play a lottery to win domestic cars? Public purchasing trends clearly suggest that people don't want domestic cars.

Anyways kudos to Smitherman for managing to score political points for his rhetoric
