Toronto Star discovers underground textbook copying at least 10 year late

The Toronto Star "revealed" that copy shops around the University of Toronto either let students photocopy text books,  provide students with photocopied text books or both.  Sending an "undercover" reporter to purchase these textbooks the Star then confronted the copy shop employees.  The Star goes on to blame the high cost of tution.  I find this rather amusing. Photocopying textbooks has been going on since I was in University, so this practice has been around since at least the year 2000.

This is similar to when researchers recently "discovered" pre drinking amoung young people (Dec 17th post)

In a search for fame and fortune, U of T third year engineering student Cyrene Wu allowed herself to be photographed for the Star story and professed to using photocopied textbooks.    Is she hoping people will feel sorry for her? University girls in search of fame and fortune normally try to get on girls gone wild (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girls_Gone_Wild)

For future reference, if the Toronto Star contacts you for an investigative story, point them in the direction of hell, unless talking to them benefits you.
